In case you missed it, Micah finished 4th in Virginia Beachthis weekend. Tammy Bollinger posted in depth results. Thanks for the updates, Tammy.
Flowrestling posted two of Micah’s matches. The videos are posted in weight class order. However, the Flowrestling page is unresponsive on Sunday evening and you’re probably not going to be able to watch the videos until Monday. I’ll update this post with direct links when I can get them.
The Flocasts blog highlights Micah’s semi finals match as a favorite:
If coaches and athletes put their emphasis in wrestling then winning will come. The best example of that was in the semis, where Micah Bollinger gave it everything he had and wrestled his heart out. Jamal Lawrence got the better of him on an awesome throw which resulted in 5 points, but Micah clawed his way back into the match. He was unable to get the victory, but his mentality and coaches attitude put the emphasis in the right place….wrestling.
As of Friday evening Micah is 3 for 3 at the senior nhsca tournament in Virginia beach at 145 lbs.
Micah decisioned the Nevada state champ in the first round.
In the second round Micah pinned the Illinois state champ in the second period.
Micah pinned the Utah state champ in the third round.
Sat. evening I will publish the remaining results from Virginia beach.

The consi-finals start at 12:30 and even though they’re not on TV, I will post Brett’s results as soon as I get them.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my coverage of states this weekend. My goal has been to get you the results as soon as possible and to give you links to more complete coverage on the web. Since I’m not in Hershey myself (unfortunately), I made a point to find the resources we need to stay up to date.
Next year, I plan to be in Hershey and writing more complete coverage myself.
Brett advances to the consolation finals with a 11-4 win against Zeke Drake. He wrestles Zak Klinvex from Shady Side Academy for third.

Brett gave up a late take down to lose 8-4 to Fausey. He drops to a fourth round consi match against Zeke Drake of Oswayo Valley later tonight.

Did you notice? The Daily Item is providing breaking coverage of the state tournament. I’m pleased to see the Item devoting some resources to report the tournament in near real time. Of course, Micah and Brett’s results are the the only scores we want to report on this site, which I summarize below.
Update: The piaa.org site appears to be buckling from the increased traffic. If you’re trying to view the brackets or schedule from PIAA, you’re connection is likely timing out this morning. Try http://states.pawrsl.com/ instead.
