Micah earned a District IV championship with an overtime win. Fausey avenged his loss to Brett last week giving Brett the second place.

Mifflinburg has four wrestlers coming back Saturday. David and Dustin are fighting in the consolation rounds, while Micah and Brett have semi final matches.

Mifflinburg puts forth a great effort and advances eight wrestlers to Districts. Micah earned his fourth sectional title, and Brett gave Jon Fausey his first loss of the year. Jon Clark earned a trip to Williamsport with a victory in three overtimes. (more…)

Both teams closed the dual meet season with another close match, but we just couldn’t find the bonus points for the win. The season, however, rolls on. The junior high wrestles the CSC tournament Saturday at Danville, and the the varsity stay at home for sectionals on February 17 at Mifflinburg. See you there.

The regulation match was tied at 48. Penns Valley won on the 6th criteria: Most total first points scored.
