When I started the Mifflinburg web site over three years ago, the goal was simple. Create an authoritative resource about Mifflinburg wrestling and streamline communication. Each year, I’ve done that better than the year before, but I never did it alone. I had the support of Mike Lynch, Dave Murray, Bob Reedy, and the entire wrestling club.

However, you are the biggest reason for the success of this site. You visit regularly and increasingly there are more of you stopping by miffwrestling.com. This is designed to be a community web site, so keep that momentum and get involved. Help your new web master be a success.

I’m pleased to turn over the reigns to Larry Hicks. I will be  helping Larry make the transition over the next few weeks. You’ll be  hearing more from him soon. With a new perspective, I’m confident miffwrestling.com will grow to even greater things.

I’ve enjoyed my time with the Mifflinburg wrestling program over the past few years both as a coach and web master. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to repay some of the support Mifflinburg gave me as a wrestler growing up.

Alas, it’s time for me move on again, and I will no longer be in a position to actively participate with the program. I’ll miss it and the people who make it a success - you.

After three years of maintaining this site, I am ready to step aside and let someone else manage miffwrestling.com. I’m looking for someone within the Mifflinburg Wrestling community to step in and take the web page to the next level.

You don’t have to be a geek to run this site, but you do need to know some basics about web servers and web sites - or be willing to learn. This is a volunteer position and you’ll do it because you have a desire to support Mifflinburg Wrestling.  It really is that simple.

I’m pleased to announce that I’ve added an event calendar to the site. You can view the monthly calendar and the next five events in the sidebar.

The wrestling season is in its final stretch and Brett and Micah still have lots of mat time, but while I still have your eyeballs, I’d like to take this opportunity to give you a brief status and introduce some new features.

I’m pleased to announce the addition of an online photo gallery to miffwrestling.com. Right now, I have a single category set up titled “Mifflinburg Wrestling,” which contains two albums: “Archive” and “2006-2007 Season.” You will only have access to the archive folder at the moment. I am allowing guest access to upload pictures for now, which means this is an open call for all your Mifflinburg Wrestling Photos, no matter how old those photos are. (more…)

Our wrestlers will be involved in many activities this summer. If you have tournament or match results that you would like to share with the Mifflinburg wrestling community, please forward the results to me and I will post them.

The weightroom will be closed June 16th, weight training will be contiuned throught the summer but check on this site everyday before you leave to lift to make sure it is open.
