The monthly meeting of the wrestling club will be held on March 12th 2008 at 7:00 pm in the middle school cafateria. A reminder that April will be nomination of officers to be elected for a 2 year term. Coaches lets get working on our budget for the 2008-2009 season. I would like to have them for the april meeting or before if possible. Please try to make sure your budget is complete for your needs the next year this way we can perform a complete budget all in one setting. Make sure your bills are in to Merrill as soon as possible and your year end finances are completed as soon as possible, Thank you

REMEMBER THAT ASSISSTANT COACHES ARE JUST AS COMMITED AS HEAD COACHES. TAKE MARK NOLAN FOR INSTANCE. IF YOU SEE MARK MAKE SURE YOU THANK HIM FOR ALL THE HARD WORK……….HOW WAS THAT?

THIS PAST SATURDAY AT THE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL, THE JR HIGH TEAM PLACED SECOND IN THE WILDCAT DUALS. CONGRATULATIONS.

If you look to the right you will see a page for the Halifax tournament. Our Jr. High team wrestled well and produced alot of place winners. Alan Miller was our only Champion, but other wrestlers won 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place medals. I have posted pictures from that day.

On Sunday January 6th, our elementary varsity wrestling squad won their first  dual meet against Montoursvilles varsity with a score of 61-49. All Mifflinburg wrestlers did a wonderful job. This was the first match for the Mifflinburg squad since joining the league this year. In addition, the JV team also wrestled great in their matches against Montoursville.

Well, the holidays are over and it is again time to get back to business. I will be posting numerous items. I am currently having some camera issues which I hope will be resolved today. I have many photos to put on the site to include the Jr. High teams action in Halifax on Dec. 27th.

Remember, this Saturday at 9:00am our Jr. High team will be hosting the Wildcat Duals at the intermediate school. It will be a whole day of wrestling. Our Varsity team will be back in action on January 10th, when they travel to Central Columbia. In addition, our elementary squad travels to Montoursville on Sunday the 6th of January for their first match in the “Susquehanna Valley Elementary Wrestling League”.  January is going to be a busy month, so stay tuned.

The Janurary meeting of the wrestling club will be held on the 9th at 7:00 pm in the middle school cafateria.  We welcome everyone interested in wrestling to come see what we are about and what we’re doing for the program.
